Thank you Maam Josseth Malida for your spirit of volunteerism that blessed your school and your community! ------- one of the letters from Josseth to Galing Foundation, Inc. ------ "Republic of the Philippines Region XII Department of Education Division of South Cotabato City of Koronadal LANDAN NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL Landan, Polomolok, South Cotabato December 1, 2009 Galing Foundation Inc. Atlanta, Georgia, USA Dear GFI, Landan National High School is so blessed to have you as our partner in educating our learners and in developing their academic potentials. The school was challenged to build a library due the many books that you have given us. In fact Ninety percent (90%) of the books in our library comes from you. These books were used by our students in reading and in Science research. Our Math specialist in school was able to publish a Mathematics Workbooks for first year, second year, third year and fourth year students which are being used not only in our school but all over the country. It is also expected that the school’s rating in the National Achievement Test for students will increase with the reference materials that we have received from your organization. We have also availed the bulk of crayons and pencils you have sent last August 2009. Our students in Art have used those materials during their interactive drawing sessions. The Boys Scouts and Girls Scouts of both the Elementary and Secondary Departments have used them in their “Art Attack” Sessions. We find all the materials you have sent very useful. With these, we would like to express our deepest gratitude for the help you have extended to our school. Maraming maraming salamat sa inyo!!! Very truly yours, SGD: JOSSETH A. Lamlifew Indigenous Peoples Integrated School, 2013-2017

Lamlifew Indigenous Peoples Integrated School in Datal Tampal, Malungon, Sarangani Province is one of the beneficiaries for the second 5-Year Mindanao Outreach (2013-2017) under the GFI Library Development & Educational Resource Assistance Program (LDERA). The school was recommended by the late Helen Lumbos because it was her dream for the students in their community to have a reading center with available educational resources. She coordinated with the School Principal Mr. Ireneo Caya and the school has been a pro-active partner for this initiative. Blaan is one of the 110 Indigenous Peoples groups of the Philippines located in south central Mindanao. The music used for this video is one original Blaan song composition "Dwata Falningem" asking God to listen to His children and the desires of their heart.
