Books turn over by Becca Dayag Rodriguez

Becca is a GFI supporter from Harlingen, Texas but originally from Kihan, Malapatan, Sarangani Province. She was instrumental in recommending the Amado M. Quirit Sr. National High School for GFI's assistance.  On behalf of GFI, she did the books turn over to the school principal, Mrs. Marlou De Arce, during her visit to her hometown.

Educational supply like this puzzle fascinated this student.

The turn-over ceremonies was also during the first Parents & Teachers Association meeting for the school year. Becca was able to share and encourage parents to support their kids in their quest of learning.

Teachers are in tears for being overjoyed by the assistance extended to their school. They  admitted that the educational materials sent did not just help the students but also the teachers. They are so thankful to whosoever donated books to benefit their school. This room was designated to be their school library and at the same time their meeting room.
These students are having fun for what's in the new box arrival.
The excitement is in the air!

The students also did a surprise cultural presentation depicting the Blaan culture and how the younger generation valued their education.
The students also did a proto-type debate in English on the importance of education as well as the educational materials that they now enjoy at school.

To the Principal of Amado M. Quirit Sr. National High School and her staff thank you so very much for the warm welcome last Thursday, June 19, 2014. I am so proud of all the students for their presentation. From the bottom of my heart, I am really proud of you all. Our prayers for you all is to continue your studies hoping in the future that all the teachers in this school will be all coming from Kihan. I salute all the teachers who are giving up their comforts to teach in our far flung areas. Thank you for all of your hard work.” Becca Dayag Rodriguez

Thanks a lot Becca and Ronnie for the books turn over and documentation.
